Our workshops cater to young storytellers aged 8 to 17. We create a fun and engaging environment for everyone in that age range to explore their creativity!
Of course! If your plans change, just reach out to us as soon as possible, and we’ll be happy to help you reschedule your booking!
All you will need for classes is a computer with reliable internet access, a web browser for Kahoot games, and either a notebook or a word-processing program.
Most importantly, your child should bring their imagination!
We strive to make our workshops accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Please let us know your needs in advance, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you!
Yes! All classes are held live online through Google Meet. Please check your email for access to the Google Meet room, or contact us at [email protected] if you need assistance.
Not at all! These programs are not like school and aren’t graded, so experience isn’t necessary. We provide them with all the learning tools they will need to work on their story on their own!
Since the coaching is private, it is personalized to the child. The first session will always be gathering where they are in their story already (idea, half-finished manuscript, etc) and working together to make plans and goals. Each meeting is guided based on the previous week and progress of the child.
The goal of the program is to guide students through the full writing process and support them toward completing their manuscript. Progress depends on pacing, consistency, and the student’s goals, but every child leaves with meaningful progress and a strong sense of accomplishment.
Whether the child finishes the manuscript by this time, they will still receive help with a cover and editing what they have at the end.
Parents are not required to attend sessions.
However, we provide clear communication and updates so families feel informed and confident about their child’s progress.
I am not a publisher, so therefore I unfortunately won’t be able to do that. However, I am happy to help guide you into submitting it to literary agents or self-publishing it on your own!
No. This is a supportive, creative mentorship—not a graded course. The emphasis is on confidence, creativity, and pride in their work, and not numbers or grades.
Yes. Students always retain full ownership of their writing. Quill & Maple’s role is purely supportive and educational.
For the workshops, payments are split into 2 payments. You will pay the first half on booking and then the other half two-weeks after.
For one-on-one coaching, payments are split into 4 payments. You will pay the first on booking and then the rest every 3 weeks.
Additional terms may be negotiated prior to workshop start dates. Please contact me at [email protected], if you need to make alternative arrangements. Please note that all accounts need to be settled in full no later than two-weeks prior to the end of the workshop.
